Earlier today I was trying to get Grace to do her homework for school and when I told her nicely to come, sit down and do it. She answered nicely, "I'd rather not, Mom". Wait a minute...was that even a question? I think we're in for it. At least she was polite about it!

Today we celebrated my parents Anniversary. 40 years of marriage! WOW
I've only been married for 7 1/2 years so I am certainly no pro but one thing I know is that marriage is hard... I always thought it would be something that just came easy but I learned it actually takes work sometimes. I'm so proud of my parents and I owe a lot to them..thanks for teaching us by your example.
Are there any pictures of me mom?

I fear that Carsten may be asking me this exact question 2o years from now!! I'm pretty certain that if Grace even blinked I had a picture of it since I didn't want to miss a thing. I feel like I'm such a terrible mom for not consciously taking more pictures of Carsten and everything he does. Maybe that's why I jumped at the chance to have some professional photos taken this month. I hope Carsten can forgive me one day but the truth is these pictures are far better than anything I could take, so I hope he likes them one day.
