Since Grace spends half her time upside down, we figured we would have her party at our local gymnastics center. Even the adults got a little floor time!! Of course all 15 girls showed up (should have known, who goes away the 2nd week of school??). Either way the place was huge and a fun time was had by all...

I have spent the last few days scouring the house for any oversized, bulky items I can find that could use a wash! It's like a challenge and I have to find something that this new machine can't handle. Part of our mini-makeover in the laundry room was new machines!! In a million years I never thought I would enjoy doing laundry this much!! It's a far cry from my mini-machines I dealt with in Germany and I am in laundry heaven!!! Sad but true....
Back to School

Today was Grace's first day of 2nd grade! After all the last minute shoe/sock shopping, going to 3 different stores for glue sticks and searching for a thermos that will keep hot dogs warm until 11:50 am I am glad it's here. Whenever Grace was asked the dreaded question, "Are you ready for school" she was very quick to say "No" but she was happy as could be as she lined up in the morning. After Jack asked his usual 20 questions, he too went, only shedding a few tears. I couldn't get one word out of him afterwards but I guess it couldn't have been too bad, since he went again the next day without a problem. I am now getting used to my few hours with just one again. It seems like just enough time to squeeze in a trip to the gym, 2 errands, shower and lunch. I am not complaining though and I am trying to use any quiet time to "recharge". I like to refer to the time as my calm "in between" the storms. Mornings are still rough and afternoons are already starting to be just as crazy as I remember them...but I guess that's life....
