"They can't all be happy" March 2012

"How old is he this time?"

February 28, 2010

In true Lepre fashion, we ended up having multiple celebrations for Carsten's birthday. A "real birthday" party and a family party. We actually only ended up having two this year (pretty conservative for us). We would have a third, but that dreaded stomach bug kept us from heading up to Rhode Island! Since the NJ family party was re-scheduled due to sickness as well, we waited 2 weeks in hopes that everyone would be healthy. Jack actually woke up that morning and when I reminded him of Carsten's party that day, he asked "How old is he this time"?

Turns out, two weeks was not enough as more guests ended up being sick that weekend!! The party went on though. It was a small group but lively (thanks Uncle John). Someday, we'll get everyone under one roof but for now here are some pictures of our day.

Valentine's Day has a whole new meaning for our family. It's now a birthday celebration and this being the first one was really special. It just ended up being the 5 of us, since we've been dealing with the stomach bug all week, but we still had fun and
Grace and Jack loved watching Carsten experiment with a cupcake. I decided to show Grace and Jack what they looked like when it was their first birthday...

You can tell Jack was just not interested...

Some pictures from the day....

Snowed In

February 10, 2010

It was the most snow I've seen in a long time! I'm pretty sure we got over 16 inches when all was said and done and it was coming down fast. Of course that meant 2 days off of school (the first day cancelled before it even started snowing!) and the kids were in heaven. We also did the standard "take 45 minutes to get into snow gear and play for 15 minutes" routine which
never gets any easier. Even Carsten got in on the fun....
